The George Bush Library.......

OK, I'll be completely up front on this:  I don't like politicians.   They are sneaky and untrustworthy and they prevaricate.  That means they lie.  I like George Washington and Abe Lincoln.  They were pretty honest and cared more about the country than anything else.

Now before I launch into today's topic, let me say in all honesty that I have nothing personal against George W. Bush.  It seems he did the best he could while he was prez, and everyone says he's a nice guy.

He Got His Wife To Sign It For Him

But when I received a mailer from him yesterday asking me (ME???) for money for his new Presidential Museum and Library in Dallas, Texas, I could only shake my head in disbelief.

What chutzpah.  What kahunas (as we used to say in Texas).  Or, as the Cowardly Lion exclaimed in "The Wizard of Oz", "Oh, the noive!!!"

I mean, like all politicians (especially after they have been in office a short while), he is quite wealthy.  Of course, he comes from a family of wealth.

But he has no problemo asking yours truly for coin. In fact, in his letter, he asks for a donation of at least $25.  Gee, I don't
think so, Mr President....

  3. Perhaps we should all send him a letter requesting a donation of $25 to help support the citizens of the US pay our taxes that pay his very large pension and life long security plus the salaries of 1000's of worthless government jobs.

  5. Just had some fun catching up on your blog. I especially liked the last post on the holidays. Here is our Christmas Day tradition. Everyone gets to do exactly what they want to. We open presents in the morning. Then there is no agenda. I get Chinese take out in the afternoon, and everyone can eat when they want to. We just relax and enjoy the day.

  7. Wouldn't you just love to receive an envelope containing a check for $25.00 from any politician as a donation to the Help Amerians Live Better fund (yours, mine and everyone's; yes, I just created that fund as I speak). I'll go cash my $25.00 check immediately and put some gas in my car so I can go to work and help the sick and dying. Oh, I forgot, it wouldn't be a tax deductible contribution now would it????????

I was having so many problems with my blogspot, so I had to start again and transfer my blogs over. I hope you will stop by and follow me again. I am so-oo sorry for being such a pain.

Thank you for being such a wonderful friend! I am blessed by your friendship!

I think Mr. Bush is a bit cheeky sending out that letter. Thumbs down Mr. Bush.

Clint, May the love of God always shine in your life, as you become a light for others.

Have a pleasant day. God bless.

With love and care from Kerrie. xOx
