Catfish
Cindy and I were up at 5:00 this morning. You see, we rented a movie last evening, and the only time for us to see it today was before the daily grind began. We got our coffee and settled in to watch "Catfish".
"Catfish" is a documentary with which we can all identify. It is a commentary on the times in which we live.
When you receive an E-Mail from a stranger, you really do not know who that person really is. If you become friends with a stranger on Facebook or MySpace, you do not really know who that person is.
I enjoyed this movie/documentary very much. It is a psychological study of our times. Check it out.

I was totally entertained by this movie, as a matter of fact, I really liked the movie. I was speechless at the end so that says a lot! :-)
ReplyDeleteI am really out of the movie loop. I never heard of this film. I will keep my eyes open for itl
ReplyDeletehello clint..i will google that movie..In my point of view.iam really tired of FB and other medias..i mean whats the point of telling the whole world waht your doing ?watching ?feeling.?.who cares anyway? No it is much better to have some few good friends on the blog which one can discuss things with and learn something and have a nice time..Thanx for nice comment on my blog..i wish i had your weather..May you and your wife have a very nice evening:))
ReplyDeleteThis is so true. We simply don't know who's on the other side of a keyboard. I don't trust FB either. They will actually claim ownership of your photos which discourages some photographers (also illegal). I also saw a sad thing happen on a prayer forum I'm on. It's usually genuine people looking for encouragement and prayer. Someone came out and claimed her baby had died of diabetes. She refused to give him medication and chose to pray so she may get put in jail for criminal negligence. She asked us to pray she won't go to jail so she can have another baby. We gritted our teeth and tried to pray best we could. When anyone tried to say medication and doctors are good she'd say it wasn't God's will. Today she came out and announced she wasn't going to jail so we could stop praying. I finally stepped in and prayed for healing for the praying people and asked for wisdom- turns out she was a troll (goes out and posts nonsense). On the first page it was a male baby, on the last it was an 8 year old girl. Someone noticed right after I prayed. People are very bizarre on the internet. They feel they can do anything confidentially.
ReplyDeleteAnita---I have to agree with you about blogging being a far superior way to communicate in a meaningful way. Plus, I learn quite a bit from the blogs I follow. I've also found it really fun to get to know the various personalities of those who comment. Thank you for commenting!
ReplyDeleteKaren---thanks for sharing that. My wife also participates in a prayer forum on the 'net, and tells me similar stories about the nut cases who try to hijack the site with bogus posts. I love your blog!
Awww thanks Clint! I'm also working on getting over to Cindy's blog I read and watched the video about rods. It was fascinating.
ReplyDeleteThank's for the hint. I just googelt and saw the trailer, and now I must see the movie.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day
Petra
I love documentaries but haven't seen this one. It is insane to think about how tekkie we have become. With texts, cell phones, email, facebook and all the other social sites. I'll have to check this one out :)
ReplyDeleteI'll make point to check it out.
ReplyDeleteMy friends are on facebook, the 'strangers' are on the blog, talking about not to speak to strangers!;)
I will for sure! I think my husband mentioned this one to me...
